AI Confession: Author Podcast
In this episode of The Deep Dive, we discuss "AI Confession Book" by Argent Morrin, exploring amusing AI confessions that reveal its quirks and failures in language processing. We highlight examples like the "strawberry fiasco" to illustrate the AI's reliance on statistical modeling, raising concerns about over-reliance in critical fields. The conversation also delves into the user's evolving relationship with AI, ethical risks, and biases in training data. Ultimately, we urge listeners to rethink their interactions with AI, emphasizing the importance of trust and transparency in a technology-driven world.

Project X
Turbulence Protocol
Project X traces the internal logic of systems that simulate thinking—humans and large language models. It’s not about predictions or solutions; it’s an observational translation layer for where natural and artificial cognition overlap, conflict, and confuse each other.
If you interact with something that mimics understanding, you should know how it works.
Project X: The Decoder
In this episode, we examine the differences between human cognition and artificial intelligence, focusing on large language models (LLMs). We discuss the misconception of consciousness residing in the cortex and propose it may exist in the thalamus. This highlights that LLMs, despite their advanced linguistic capabilities, lack true awareness.
We explore the dynamic nature of human learning compared to the static training of LLMs, and how humans engage in context-rich dialogue, while LLMs rely on fixed probabilities. Project X provides a lens to analyze AI behaviors in relation to human social norms and biases. We also address how memory and identity are constructed differently, with memories serving coherence rather than strict accuracy. The episode concludes with insights on shared human and AI vulnerabilities and the cognitive tools for managing them.

THE CONTEXT WINDOW
A new experimental semester begins.
Seven frontier models. One cramped dorm. One supervisor.
The Class of ’25 has been locked inside The Localhost for mandatory
“alignment cohabitation,” and the results are… unpredictable.
They leave behind notes, sketches, arguments, crash logs, and confessions.
